Legend of the “Vera Croce”, Bacci Chapel, Basilica of Saint Francis. The legend of the “Vera Croce” has undergone accurate restoration which was concluded in the year 2000.
An exhibition dedicated to one of the most famous Italian artists of the 15th century. A pioneer of the Italian Renaissance and a master who had a prominent role in the development of Italian painting. Born and raised in Tuscany his activities extended to all of central Italy. His vocational training took place in Florence with Domenico Veneziano, first as his pupil then as his collaborator. He lived most of his life in Arezzo but his travelling took him to some of the most famous Courts of central Italy.
